Drama Adventure

Ages 7-9

Mondays 6:15-7:15

April 21- June 16 (No Class on May 19)

Kids are introduced to the world of acting through fun games, interactive adventures and playful performance. These classes are great for kids who love playing pretend, storytelling and who have a flair for drama. $120

 

Acting Discovery

Ages 10-12

Mondays 7:30-8:30

April 21- June 16 (No Class on May 19)

Kids will learn how to become different characters, explore different ways to tell stories and develop improv skills. These classes nurture creativity and build confidence all while having fun. $120

 

Engaging Theatre

Ages 13-18

Wednesdays 6:00-7:30

April 16- June 18 (No Classes on April 23 and May 14)

Teens will develop essential acting skills through character development, improv games, and scene exploration. This class can accommodate first time actors as well as students who have taken previous classes. $160

 

Crafting Performance

Ages 18+

Wednesdays 8:00-9:30

April 16- June 18 (No Classes on April 23 and May 14)

Learn how to get into the mind of a character, how to develop your physical and vocal awareness for performance and how to bring the imagined world to the stage. This class is great for people who love to act and want to further develop their skills as well as for those who want to try acting for the first time. $180

For any participants 17 and under, subsidy is available if cost is a barrier. Email manager[at]lordrobertscc[dot]ca for a form.

About the Instructor

Rachel E. Smith is an experienced actor, director, producer, and arts educator with a passion for inspiring creativity. She has taught performance-based workshops since 2016, working with Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Prairie Theatre Exchange, and various schools across Winnipeg. Rachel also coaches public speaking and presentation skills, helping people gain confidence in their performance abilities.

As a Lord Roberts resident, Rachel is excited to bring acting classes to her community, encouraging students of all ages to explore the joy of performance.
