6 Week Class: Fun with Themes!

Ages 7-10 (If your child is outside this range, get in touch!)

This spring, kids have the chance to let their inner actor shine! Classes feature fun-filled games and activities that encourage expression, imagination, and storytelling. Themes include fairy tales, superheroes, and video games!

Adult Programming

Crafting Performance

Ages 18+

Learn how to get into the mind of a character, develop physical and vocal awareness, and bring the imagined world to the stage. Suitable for all skill levels.

When: Mondays 7:00–8:30 PM | April 6 – May 11

Drama Adventure

Ages 6–9

Wednesdays 6:15–7:15 PM | Jan 21 – Mar 18 (No class Feb 18)

Kids are introduced to acting through fun games and interactive adventures. Great for storytelling and imaginative play.

Acting Discovery

Ages 10–13

Wednesdays 7:30–8:30 PM | Jan 21 – Mar 18 (No class Feb 18)

Explore character development, storytelling, and improv skills to nurture creativity and build confidence.

Engaging Theatre

Ages 14–17

Mondays 6:00–7:15 PM | Jan 19 – Mar 16 (No class Feb 16)

Teens develop acting skills through character work and scene exploration. Suitable for all levels.

About the Instructor

Rachel E. Smith

Rachel E Smith is an actor, director, producer, writer and arts educator working in theatre and film. She is passionate about creating original work, often experimenting with form and seeking to deliver unique productions that are thought-provoking and entertaining. In addition to Rachel’s accomplishments as an artist, she has taught performance-based classes and workshops since 2016. She has worked with Manitoba Theatre for Young People, Prairie Theatre Exchange, and has led workshops in schools and classrooms throughout Winnipeg. Rachel has helped science students at the University of Manitoba and aspiring models and actors at Panache Management. She currently works as a performance coach, helping others gain confidence and eloquence in their public speaking and presentation skills.

Rachel is a Lord Roberts resident who is excited to lead acting classes in the community. Whether she is teaching a class for kids, teens or adults, she is excited to be part of the creative journey that her students embark on when they step into her class.
