Dance Classes
LRCC is offering a variety of dance programs for adults and children. The program is not limited to people living in the Lord Roberts community. No previous dance experience is required. Classes will go ahead providing there are enough registrants for each class.
Youth Program: 12-week program starting Jan 23rd-April 23rd (No classes on Louis Reil Day Feb 20th,
Spring break March 27th – April 2nd, Good Friday April 7th, and Easter Sunday April 9th)

Program Options
Parents and Tots
45 minute classes • 6 students per class
This course is designed to develop coordination and explore rhythm and movement while their older partner gets in on the action. We welcome parents, grandparents, older siblings or cousins to participate with the child. (Only one adult per child).
Creative Movement
45 minute classes • 10 students per class
An introduction to music and dance designed to enhance creativity and body awareness through the exploration of quality of movement, rhythm and speed working on their own, with partners and groups.
Ballet/Jazz Combo
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
Get ready to move! This class is designed to teach both ballet and jazz basics. The ballet portion will also help foster the strength and technique that is needed for energetic jazz dances.
Acting for Dancers (New)
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
This class provides an opportunity for dancers to hone their acting skills. This class will consist of learning monologues, an array of acting exercises and theatre-based movement. Acting for dancers pairs well when taken along side musical theatre.
Musical Theater
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
This class will primarily focus on singing and dancing while incorporating acting. The class will help students understand how to use their own bodies and voices, while learning how to read each other’s intention. Through the creative process, students develop their confidence and connection to one another.
Contemporary for Adults
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
This is a style of dance that combines modern dance and newer philosophies of movement that depart form classical dance techniques by omitting structured form and movement.
Ballet for Adults
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
This class will focus on learning the fundamentals of ballet technique. These are the building blocks that will help you improve in all styles of dance.
Adult Ballet Barre Basics (New)
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
Ballet Barre Basics is designed for those who are new to ballet or want to revisit ballet principals. This class consists of a ballet barre that increases strength and flexibility while learning ballet basics.
Stretch and Strength for Adults
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
Stretch classes will focus on body weight exercises and calisthenics infused with yoga stretches to give you the ultimate muscle building and stretching combination. Exercises will focus on legs, core and glutes, the major muscle groups used to power your run!
