Dance Classes
LRCC is offering a variety of dance programs for adults and children. No previous dance experience is required.
The program is not limited to people living in the Lord Roberts community. Classes will go ahead providing there are enough registrants for each class.
Youth Program: Classes will run September 19 – December 8
Adult Program: Classes will run September 19 – December 8
*on Sunday October 27th class will be cancelled and a make up date on December 15th will be placed to fulfill the 12 week session
Program Options
Parents and Tots
45 minute classes • 8 students per class
This course is designed to develop coordination and explore rhythm and movement while their older partner gets in on the action. We welcome parents, grandparents, older siblings or cousins to participate with the child. (Only one adult per child).
Creative Movement
45 minute classes • 10 students per class
An introduction to music and dance designed to enhance creativity and body awareness through the exploration of quality of movement, rhythm and speed working on their own, with partners and groups.
Sundays 10:30 am – 11:15 am : Ages 3-6 : creative movement
Sundays DROP-IN 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm : Ages 3-6 : creative movement $5.00
Musical Theatre
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
This class will primarily focus on singing and dancing while incorporating acting. The class will help students understand how to use their own bodies and voices, while learning how to read each other’s intention. Through the creative process, students develop their confidence and connection to one another.

Intro to Dance
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
Leap into the world of rhythm and creativity, where movement becomes an art form, and self-expression takes flight. Intro To Dance is designed to inspire and nurture the inner dancer within your child. The class curriculum embraces diversity, offering a fusion of dance styles. From the classical elegance of ballet to the fiery beats of jazz, students delve into the fundamentals of dance, learning techniques, vocabulary, and movements. Intro to Dance fuses free movement and technique to guide dancers on a journey of physical and artistic exploration.
Stretch and Strength for Adults
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
Stretch classes will focus on body weight exercises and calisthenics infused with yoga stretches to give you the ultimate muscle building and stretching combination. Exercises will focus on legs, core and glutes, the major muscle groups used to power your run!
Contemporary for Adults
1 hour classes • 10 students per class
This is a style of dance that combines modern dance and newer philosophies of movement that depart form classical dance techniques by omitting structured form and movement.
