Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Treaty 1 Territory), Brooke is a contemporary dance artist, educator, and choreographer. She began dancing under the direction of Paula Blair and later graduated from the Senior Professional Program at The School of Contemporary Dancers in 2021.
Brooke’s work focuses on creation and performance, using dance to tell stories and connect with audiences. She has performed in works by Stephanie Ballard, Hilary James, and Paula Blair, and is currently an Artist in Residence at New Dance Horizons, mentored by Robin Poitras, C.M., and Edward Poitras.
Affectionately known as “Ms. Brooke” to thousands of young dancers, she has been teaching since 2017 and currently works with The School of Contemporary Dancers and various community centres. She teaches a range of styles including jazz, contemporary, ballet, and creative movement, and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of dancers.
Brooke is also a former board member with Young Lungs Dance Exchange and continues to contribute to Winnipeg’s dance community through performance, mentorship, and collaborative creation.
